our outcomes

In order for us to reach Long Island with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, God must transform us for his glory and for the sake of others. We long to see God transform us as His disciples in the spirit generated, measurable outcomes listed below.

Passionate Pursuit of God

Personally know and pursue Jesus Christ as my greatest treasure and priority in life and understand God’s heart and activity through his word, prayer and other spiritual disciplines. (1 John 4:8, 4:19, 2 Cor 5:13-15, Matt 22:36-40, Eph 4:13-16)

Display Fruit Of The Spirit

Because the Spirit of God transforms disciples to look like Jesus, I display the character of God that distinguishes me from an unbelieving world. The Fruit of the Spirit are most evident in my relationships with other Christ followers and those who do not yet know Jesus. [Rom 12:9-21;1 Cor 13; Gal 5:16-25]

Engage Your Spirit Giftedness

I discover and fulfill my God given purpose in the church and in my sphere of influence using my spiritual gifts, desires and passions to build up the body and serve others for the glory of God, because what ever God is going to do in the world He will do through all of Christ’s people, the church. (Rom 12:1 -9; 1 Cor 12:1-30; 14:1-25, Eph 4:8)

Stewardship of Life

Because the gospel changes all of life and all of life is worship, as a disciple of Jesus I display and demonstrate the character of God that distinguishes me from an unbelieving world in the stewardship of everything God has entrusted to me for his glory and mission of redemption (resources-relationships-body-time-family-occupation) [Ex 36; Rom 12:1,2; 1 Cor 9:24-27; 10:23,31; Eph 2:10]

Share God’s Story of Grace

Transformed by the fullness of the gospel, I desire to take responsibility for those in my sphere of influence by inviting them into my story of Grace and clearly sharing God’s story of Grace in Jesus that they might respond in faith to the gospel. [Isaiah 52:7; Rom 1:16; 10:15; 1 Cor 9:15-23; Gal 1:6-25; Gal 4:13; Eph 6:19; 1 Thess 2:8; 2 Tim 1:8]
